East-Aethiopids(Somalid) from Somalia, Danakil desert and Ogaden region

The East-Aethiopids also called Somalids (a better suiting term) are the typical nomadic herder type and main type among the Cushitic speaking Somali, Afar and Ogaden Oromo in the dry and plain lowland regions of the Horn of Africa. The complexion is darker, the hair straighter(mostly wavy and curly, often straight), the features more elongated, extreme leptodolichomorphic types are more prevalent and in height taller(heights above 190 cm are very common) than the Classic Aethiopid variants from the Ethiopian and Eritrean highland plateau. It can be regarded as the Cushitic archetype. Minor arabid tendencies(influences?) can be disregarded and are nearly absent.

The area of distribution consists of the Afar Triangle(e.g. Danakil desert) between Eritrea, Djibouti and Northern Ethiopia, the Ogaden region in Eastern Ethiopia and Somalia where it has its strongest presence:
